One of the pre-requisites to become an effective consultant these days is to attend as many consultant training programs that are being offered both in the online and offline arena by those people who are considered authorities in this field. Before you sign up, make sure that you do your homework first. This is the best thing that you can do to ensure that you will get your money's worth and probably more.
1.First thing to do is to ask for recommendations. Call those people who are now practicing consultants. Ask for the training programs that they took before. Ask for their experiences and see if they can recommend some programs to you.
2.Do your research. You would want to know specific information before you go ahead and sign up. You would want to make sure that the individuals or companies behind these training programs are accredited by relevant agencies and that they have proven track record. It will help if they've been in the business for at least 3-5 years. Ensure that they have impressive online portfolio and that they've already produced successful consultants.
3.Interview your trainers. It is not a bad idea to interview those people who are offering these training programs. As you will be spending your hard earn money on their services, it is your right to know if they have what it takes to prepare you for your newest endeavor. Ask about their curriculum, about the tools that they're using, etc. Then, get an assurance that they'll offer you your money's worth.
By the way, do you want to increase your coaching fees by 10 - 25 times and decrease the time you spend with clients - all while getting great results for your clients?
